Cornbelly's
I had been trying to find a time to take the girls to Cornbelly's and knew it would be way easier with a another person there to help me wrangle the kids, so when the day before my scheduled surgery hit and the weather was heavenly, I thought "now or never" and texted my mom to see if she wanted to come with! She was such a help and we all had a great time. I ended up overdoing it that day and woke up sick the next day and had to reschedule my surgery...but we sure had a fun time.

Madelyn Turns ONE!
Remember when Madelyn Jo was like this?:
OH MY HEARTAnd one year later she's such a grown up little lady!
We had a party for our birthday girl in the late afternoon with both of our families on her birthday. The weather was perfect, and all of the cousins spent the majority of the time out on the trampoline. It was so fun seeing G&G out there jumping with them. We appreciated the love and support from our family so much. Madelyn is so loved and forever will be. Day after day she has been such a bright spot in our lives. We adore her smiles, her obsession with animals, and her loud and dramatic personality. She is quick to laugh and as determined as they come. Happy birthday, sweet girl!

BYU vs. Boise State
On October 6th, we got to do something we don't usually do! We hadn't been to a BYU football game since college, so when Richard invited us, we were stoked! It was freezing and a late game, but it brought back wonderful memories and we had a great time with our family. BYU lost (a common theme these days, sadly), however, we're loyal cougs forever!

A Perfect Fall Day
I live for these perfect fall days: warm and sunny, no jacket needed. We spent a lot of it outside and the girls were in heaven. Throwing leaves, jumping in leaves, running around on the trampoline, finding bugs, listening for dogs. Grateful for nature's playground!

Gardner Village
The girlies and I took advantage of the perfect fall weather and spent the morning at Gardner Village. The duck pond was a hit and we loved looking for the witches! Wishing I could freeze Madelyn at 1 year old. So in love with these three.

Pumpkin Harvesting
We had our annual pumpkin harvesting get together with the Simons cousins last week. Grandma and Grandpa had so many good pumpkins to pick, and each of the girls got to choose one to take home. Fall is everything I love, including pumpkins. Pumpkins = pumpkin pie...typing that just makes me mouth water.

Peach Pies with Grandma
The best peaches of the season were ripe and ready the first week of September so we headed down to Grandma's house to "help" her with her pies! Each of the girls made a tiny pie and we enjoyed pie crust strips, a long-standing tradition from when I was little :) The girls could do so much more than last year and they loved every minute. Oh, and Madelyn loved eating the peaches. Girl after my own heart.
