These two cuties had a blast at the Jazz Game last night! Olivia felt like a million bucks and came home late with more energy than when she left. Success!

Thanksgiving with the Beans

We spent Thanksgiving this year with the Beans! We got together Wednesday to make apple turkeys, ate a delicious meal Thursday, and then the adults played Hand and Foot with Grandma Bean Friday night. Above all else, we are thankful for faith and family.

Our Bout with Covid

Robbie started feeling pretty sick on a Tuesday night after Bishopric (Sep 28). He got tested for covid Wednesday and found out Thursday night that he was positive. We tested the rest of us Friday and everyone was positive except for me and Madelyn. Madelyn tested positive a few days later, and I tested positive the following week, right when Robbie's quarantine was ending, ha! What a wild ride. The kids had it pretty mild, ranging from zero symptoms to fevers and coughs. Robbie had it the worst, and I just had a minor cold and lost my taste and smell for a day. 

I want to remember more than anything else the kindness people showed us. We found food delivered to our door multiple times that came from Bob & Dayna from afar. My parents dropped food and notes off multiple times and waved through the window. My neighbor, Rachel Pearson, dropped off a bunch of activities from the dollar store for the kids to do. Kenzie dropped of homemade bread and some activities for the kids. Whitney brought us a delicious dinner. Emily dropped off dinner and sent some amazon packages for the kids. Lindsay dropped off a bunch of vitamins and food for us. My goodness, we just felt so taken care of and it meant the world to us. Here we are a month later and Robbie is still working on getting his taste back, but we're so thankful to be on the other side of it all!

We picked up Madelyn's preschool work from her teacher while she was home sick, and her teacher wrote her the sweetest note. We love Mrs. King!

Derek Hough Concert

Robbie and I snuck away to Vegas this past weekend for a quick overnighter so we could see Derek Hough in concert. I saw him a couple years ago in SLC and just loved it so much that I had to bring Robbie with me this time! We got there just in time to run to Olive Garden for dinner, and then drove to the Venetian Hotel for the concert. It was phenomenal and a much smaller room than the last time I saw him, which was really fun having the dancers so close.

 

Halloween Festivities

This year's Halloween line-up included a vampiress, rainbow fairy, witch, Spiderman, and monkey. The kids had a blast at the ward trunk-or-treat the Tuesday before Halloween, and then I went in to help with the twins' school party on Friday. We went trick-or-treating on Saturday and the weather was unusually warm and so wonderful! Everyone sat out on their porches and we loved seeing so many friends. 

Madelyn Turns 5!

Our cute Madelyn turned 5 this past month! We loved celebrating the light she is. She adds so much goodness and life to this world. She has such a tender heart and always jumps up to help when there's a need. We love and admire her so much!

We planned a tea party with some of her friends and had to reschedule it 3 times due to covid, but we finally got to have it on Oct. 30th. We loved celebrating with Gracie, Poppy, and Vivian!
