End of Year Field Trips

I got to volunteer at Madelyn's and Kate and Olivia's end of year field trips and it was such a treat to be with their teachers and classmates. Madelyn's preschool did a walking field trip to the Glad Farm nearby (Rob and Beth got to tag along too), and Kate and Olivia had a walking field trip to the park where I met them with popsicles in tow!

Ben Rector Concert

Right after Kate and Olivia's LPM graduation recital, I kissed Robbie and the kids goodbye and headed with my mom to meet my siblings at the Ben Rector concert. We got there literally at the perfect time, minutes after the opener finished and they were getting ready for Ben Rector. I love Ben and everything he stands for. This was a really happy night for me surrounded by these good, good people and Ben's incredible music. I will be a lifelong listener!

Let's Play Music Graduation-Kate and Olivia

After 3 wonderful years of Let's Play Music, the girls officially graduated! I can't say enough how much we love this program and Miss Teresa. Our lives have been so blessed by having fun with music. I'm proud of the girls and their hard work putting in hours of practicing (I'm proud of me, too! haha). They each played their compositions at the graduation recital (we loved having G&G Bean there to support) and Olivia was recognized for getting 2nd place out of all of the 3rd years. Both girls performed beautifully and were confident and brave!
Next step is Bridge for one year and then off to private music lessons. Go, girls, go!

Let's Play Music Recital-Madelyn, Rob, and Beth

Rob, Beth, and Madelyn had their music recitals on Saturday and were just the cutest things you've ever seen. Rob and Beth (and me, technically haha) performed songs from their Pink Piggies semester, and Madelyn finished up her 1st year of LPM. Madelyn had been feeling pretty nervous leading up to this performance and had me walk her down and stand behind her group. I was ready to stay there the whole time, but right before they started she turned and said, "Mom, I'm ready for you to go sit on the side." Baby girl!! So brave. We were so proud of that girl. Dad took her out to McDonald's afterwards for a hamburger to celebrate her doing a hard thing.
