Twins Start First Grade

The twins started first grade this week with Miss Harper! I love the anticipation of school starting up again, and this year felt big because we had our first experience with all-day school. Man, I love these kids. We had our back to school dinner and dad gave Father's blessings. We can't wait to see what this year has in store!

The girls ran into their good friend, Ruby Peterson, as soon as we got to school. Yay for some familiar faces.

Seattle Trip with Beth

Robbie and I had the best last few days in Seattle with Beth! We havd really been feeling like we could use a relaxing few days away from our responsibilities and this trip was just what we needed. Beth is still nursing so she got to tag along, and my sweet mom came and stayed with our other kids. We flew out Sunday night and got to Bob & Dayna's apartment around 8:00. Dayna had made the yummiest dinner--chicken enchilada casserole, fruit, corn, and swirl cake to finish off. It was heaven on earth to be there with them and give them big hugs!

After Beth's nap on Monday morning, we drove to their office and met the other office senior missionaries and Elders. We loved seeing the incredible work they're doing and fun to visualize them now that we've seen where they spend most of their time! They took us to Subway for lunch where their cute friend, Louisa, works. We instantly fell in love with her as well! After another nap for Beth, Bob & Dayna picked us up at our hotel and we drove together to the Ballard Locks to see the locks and salmon. I loved chatting in the car together! After a while there, we ate dinner at Cheesecake Factory and then went back to their apartment for more dessert because, well, you can't have too much swirl cake.

After Beth's nap on Tuesday morning, we drove to the office and left notes for Bob & Dayna and walked around the pretty foresty area right by the office. We then drove to Issaquah and met them for lunch at Cafe Rio. I soaked in every second watching them love on Beth and thinking of every possible question to ask because we just did not want to leave! We gave big hugs and promised to come back soon. How we love them!!!
