Gardner Village

The kids and I made it up to Gardner Village a few days before Halloween and enjoyed the beautiful weather, ducks, silly witches, and yummy caramel apples!

Guys Trip to Seattle

The day after I got back from Seattle, it was Robbie's turn for a guys trip! They flew in for a Seahawks game and then flew back the next day. Short and sweet!

Girls Trip to Seattle

I had the most lovely weekend in Seattle with the Simons girls visiting Bob and Dayna on their mission. It truly was an unforgettable trip and I loved every second. They are doing so much good and it was wonderful to give them a big hug and hear more about their day to day lives. Each of us girls also had our own hotel room and it was so good for me to have some quiet/alone time each night and morning. That coupled with our excursions and lovely chats just filled my cup right up.

Friday: visited them at the office and helped Dayna fill her orders, went to Subway for lunch and met Louisa again (we love her!), took a ferry to Vashon Island where we went on a nice walk to a cute lighthouse, went to the mall where we each picked out a bracelet (Lindsay also surprised us and joined the party), and ended the night with dinner at Cheesecake Factory.

Saturday: met for breakfast at the hotel, did the underground city tour in Seattle, went to the Magic Mouse Toy store, walked around Pike Place Market and ate lunch at Beecher's, went to the Chihuly Garden and Glass museum, rode in the elevator to the top of the Space Needle, and ended the night at Zeek's Pizza for dinner.

Sunday: church with Bob and Dayna, and then said our goodbyes and headed home!

October General Conference

The Thursday before General Conference this year, we found out Robbie had Covid...and then all the kids tested positive as well. Boo. But it turned out well that we had a weekend of relaxing and hearing from our leaders ahead of us. We love the great men and women who inspire us to be more like our Savior!

Willow Heights Hike

I saw on Instagram that Meg Miles was hosting another group hike up Big Cottonwood Canyon, so I got my good friend, Kelsey Boyce, to come with me! The leaves had just started to change and it was the perfect weekend to be up in the mountains. I love doing things with groups too, it just feels so uniting and it distracts me from feeling tired, haha! I loved every second being out in nature. It was a cool, crisp morning and I took it all in. It fed my soul and I'm so glad we went!
