Thanksgiving Point Farm

This past week was our Spring Break, so we decided to head to the farm with Grandma! It was the perfect time to go. The weather was pleasant and we got to see so many baby animals. Kate, Olivia, and Rob rode the horses and everyone loved feeding the cows and going on a tractor ride. Rob loved the horse for about 10 seconds and then wanted off, but bravely stayed on the whole time! Kate has such a talent for meeting new people and split off from sitting by us to go sit by some boys and make new friends. Love her. A good time was had by all!

Saying Goodbye to G&G Simons

We had G&G Simons over last Tuesday night for a visit and dessert. Bob brought the girls' favorite book he reads and ended up giving it to them. It was so sweet having them over one last time before they head out. We soaked in every minute!

We stopped by again Thursday night to say our final goodbyes (Robbie went over Friday morning as well before they drove off) and, man, talk about heart-wrenching. How we love them and are incredibly thankful for their examples and sacrifice. Can't wait to hear all about their adventures in Seattle the next 18 months. We will miss them dearly!

 

Easter Weekend

Happy Easter! We started the weekend out with two egg hunts...one with the Simons Saturday between General Conference sessions, and then one with the Beans later that day. So much fun packed in one day! We know He lives!

Sunday we enjoyed Easter morning and both sessions at our home and then ate dinner with the Simons (our last one before Bob & Dayna left a few days later for Washington!). We had a family prayer and a big cousin group hug. So bittersweet!
