We've had some major flooding on this side of the yard. We think it's coming from our neighbor's because of the elevation...or a broken sprinkler in her yard? Who knows. Robbie has put in a lot of work (along with help from Bob) to put in a drain system. Goodbye to our swampy yard! Thankful for these good, hard working men.

Mom's Retirement
We got to celebrate Mom's retirement together as a family, hooray!! This was a pretty significant day after going strong for 20 years. This woman is my hero and is loved by so many. I'll always treasure that we got to share teaching together. Happiest day, mom!

Hamilton!
Seeing Hamilton (5/3) with Robbie really felt like this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for me. And to do it with his parents was such a treat. We hit up Zupas for dinner before the show (my first time eating out after the detox!) and really enjoyed some one-on-one time with Bob & Dayna. I'm still kicking myself that we didn't get the four of us in a picture together...but this will have to do. Even though it wasn't really my type of musical, I really appreciated the top notch talent.

26 Day Detox
In yet another attempt to get of my silly hives that have popped up here and there since my foot surgery 8 years ago, I decided to do Green Smoothie Girl's 26 Day Detox with my mom. I started it April 7th, finished last week, and I'm so glad I did it alongside my mom. She was incredibly generous and bought me a bunch of food and gave me the support and encouragement I needed. I loved sharing this experience with her. I'm not going to lie, it was a tough 26 days. Some days were definitely harder (like SO hard) than others (first four days and watermelon days), but I felt such a sense of fulfillment and pride when I reached the end. My cravings were all gone and I just felt really good. My body was happy and it felt awesome to really take care of myself. No salt, sugar, white flour, meat, dairy. Very raw, plant based. Lots of smoothies, lots of veggies and fruit. I'm committed to making healthier food choices and definitely plan on doing this again in the future.
Miss Madelyn loved all of my green smoothies and basically mauled me every time I sat down to drink one. Love that little girl.

To Grandmother's House We Go
We dropped the kids off with my parents in Lindon this past Saturday to have some good grandma and grandpa time while Robbie and I worked in the yard. It was a dreamy day, for all involved :) Robbie and I got a ton done, loved being together, and it was perfect timing for a little break. The kids were spoiled and did not want to leave when I came to get them after naps. I can't even begin to describe how blessed we feel to have both of our parents close by. Their support, encouragement, generosity, and help amazes us. And we love seeing them love on our babes!
