We had our annual spring cleaning weekend up at the cabin last weekend. Our family wasn't planning on going because it was the same weekend as Legacy, but we changed out plans last minute and ended up having a lovely time with our family. We love them so very much. It was a quick trip, but we managed to fit in a nature walk, cleaning, mule rides, and lots of cousin play time. We stopped by a frozen pond and both Wilson and Grandpa walked on it and Grandpa came out of that with a freezing cold soaked leg. Making memories for sure! We had a pretty rough night as far as sleeping goes, but when you look at the big picture it sure is worth it.

A Taste of Spring
Spring is in the air! We've had some absolutely gorgeous days mixed in with cold/rainy/snowy days (typical Utah spring weather), but we've sure made the most of these warm ones. My goodness, the warmth always feels so nice. We're itchin' for lots more days just like this one. We loved going to the "farm park" (Wheadon Park) with cousins.

Madelyn is 18 Months!
Oh my heart, this girl! She's been a part of our family for 18 glorious months. What a cheeser. She's determined, feisty, dramatic, and such a playful tease. She loves to give kisses right smack dab on the lips and is obsessed with her kitty...and pretty much any animal, stuffed or not. She keeps right up with her sisters and makes herself known. We joke she thinks she's 3 years old, too. Madelyn loves to sit at the piano by herself (miss independent, she doesn't even let me hold onto her) and turn through the pages of the song book, playing and singing along as she goes. She loves singing along to Twinkle Twinkle and You Are My Sunshine. She loves putting stuff in and taking it out, especially the clothes in her drawers. She's super independent, but oh so obedient and sweet. She says please and yells "ME!!" when she wants something. She makes little mouth closed grunting sounds until you acknowledge what she's pointing at or get her what she wants. She's an excellent eater, naps 1-1.5 hours and conks out all night.
She loves growing up and we sure love having front row seats to it all. What a joy to love and be loved by this delightful girl.

Easter 2018 - Sunday
We started a new Conference weekend Sunday breakfast tradition...cinnamon rolls!! I can't believe it, but it was my first time ever making homemade cinnamon rolls. I need to start earlier next year, but all in all it was a good experience and they were divine. A forever tradition, for sure.
After the afternoon session of Conference, we snagged some pictures of the girls in their Easter dresses before heading over to be with the Simons. These make me chuckle. I'll take what I can get. I love these girls with all of my heart:
We zipped over to G&G Simons' house where the kids were ecstatic about another egg hunt and another delicious meal. I tell you, we are incredible blessed to have both of our families close. We love them all so much.

Easter 2018 - Saturday
We enjoyed a scrumptious dinner and sent the men off to Priesthood (the first year we've had Priesthood Mtg. in April and Women's Mtg. in October).
Another special thing to record was that Dave is officially a van dweller and it was cool to see all the work he's put into his new "home."

Jordan River Temple Open House
This past weekend, we took our little family to the Jordan River Temple Open House and it was so lovely. These people, this place...they're my whole world. Showing the girls a sealing room where we got married and where they will someday too?! Super special. It felt so good to be there as a family. We had some fun rain and just had a wonderful time!

Ice Skating at the Olympic Oval
We met up with the Simons for ice skating at the Olympic Oval on Saturday, March 19th. It was a first for all of our girls, and Robbie and I enjoyed getting back on the ice...it had been a long time! I loved watching all the little cousins skate, especially Millie. That girl is a go-getter and fearless! Kate & Olivia were pretty cautious about it all. They tried it once, but then were content to sit on the sidelines and watch. I loved watching all the cousins play together, they're all so dang cute.
Madelyn, however, seemed pretty interested so we tied those two sizes too big skates on her REAL tight and she enjoyed a little skating as well. Cute little chunk!! How many people does it take??
^Smart girls know where Grandma's treats are :)
^In 'n Out is always the best place to accommodate our crowd with lots of kiddos!
