Meeting Rob

Sunday afternoon we had a few visitors at the hospital and felt so lucky that Rob was already so loved!

Welcome, Baby Rob!

Rob's due date was Wednesday, January 23rd. That day came and went, and the next day I started feeling contractions like I had with Madelyn and we thought this was the real deal. We sent the kids off to G&G's house, but ended up picking them up the next day. False alarm! Saturday around lunch time I realized I hadn't felt the baby move in a while, so after doing all I've heard to do to get your baby to move, I headed to the hospital around 4:00 to get checked out. We were a bit terrified to say the least, so hearing his heart beat flooded us both with relief. Of course it was then that my contractions picked up and never stopped! Robbie dropped the girls off and came a couple hours later once we knew this was the real deal. Our doula, Kristina, came around 8:00 and Rob was born at 1:17 a.m.on Sunday, January 27th. 7 lbs. 11 oz. and 21 inches long. We were elated to have our son here!!! Welcome to the family, Robert John!
