I love when Lovers Day rolls around, it really is one of my favorites! The Friday before Valentine's Day, Kate & Olivia went to the annual Simons cousins Valentine's Day party with Grandma and Grandpa. They ate dinner, passed out valentines, read stories, played games, and talked about loving each other. They came back so happy and they just love time with their cousins and G&G.
On Valentine's Day, I took the girls to Madelyn's 15 month well visit in the morning, but after realizing there was a 60 minute (yes, you read that right) wait we turned right around and came back. It had been a hard morning with the girls and I just really needed a pick me up. Well, lo and behold, when we got back there was a box of flowers waiting for me on the front porch from Robbie. It was no coincidence and made my entire day. That's a constant theme in our lives together, he's always bringing and adding so much good. He makes my life.
After naps, we visited Robbie at work (surprised him with Swig) and brought some little valentines the girls helped put together for a few people there. When we got back, Grandma Bean surprised us with door bell ditched valentines and then stayed for a bit to play and visit. Love that tradition of door bell ditching valentines. The girls were so happy and surprised!
^Madelyn's face! I die!
Robbie and I made an easy dinner for the kids, then I headed out and grabbed Kneaders for me and McDonald's for him. We watched some shows, gave each other cards, and then he told me to go upstairs for a bit. When I came down I saw THIS and was blown away and so so surprised!!! I knew he was working on it, but thought it wouldn't be done for a couple more months. He really nailed the surprise. I really love this table and his sacrifice to get it done so quickly meant a lot. "I just want you to be happy, Rach." He's the best and I love him so.
