Way back in the middle of May, our Marrcrest town home sold. It was on the market and we knew it could sell anytime, but this came a big surprise. We had 10 days to pack up our stuff and move to my parents' home. It was pretty insane, but such a fun adventure. Fun? Maybe not the best word. It was an adventure for sure though! I remember the last night we had left to move, I took the babies to my parents' house and Robbie stayed at Marrcrest until 11 pm stuffing everything left into boxes. It was hilarious unpacking those because they were so, so random.
We spent the next two months at my parents house. I am such a home body, so it was a dream to be back at home. I could walk right upstairs and see my parents at any time? Score!
Mom came with me the first time I took the girls grocery shopping with me. I was terrified. She was such a support!
Another great memory from living at home. We met Todd on campus at BYU. Olivia was wrapped in her car seat cover because she had a blowout and I happened to be totally unprepared that day (no extra outfit, ah!). Then, we were walking out and Kate spit up a ton all over the cafeteria floor in the middle of a walkway. It was a day to remember.
The weekend after the 4th of July, we packed up again and moved to Robbie's parents' home. Robbie was in heaven when his commute went from 30 min. to 6 min. I loved getting to know Bob & Dayna better and I just love them so much and felt so comfortable there.
Cutest Grandma Simons!
Both sets were so great to help us out with the girls and watch them whenever we had something going on or just needed to get out. I can't say how lucky our girls are to have our parents as grandparents. We love both sets like crazy.
We started really looking for homes once we moved to Draper, but did walk through a few while we were in Lindon.
On August 8, a home popped up and our realtor, Jim Petty (greatest guy, lived in Robbie's home ward), told us about it immediately and got us a time to walk through it. It was a great price and we were the first of 3-4 other people to walk through. We loved everything about it. It was just what we were looking for. We made an offer right then and there and then just waited to hear back. We got a call a day or two later and our offer was accepted!!! We found out someone had offered an amount higher than we did, but the current owners felt really good about choosing us. We were absolutely thrilled. We signed on the home on August 27th and then moved our stuff in two moves, some of it on September 5th and the rest of it on September 26th. We love our home on Dreamfield Drive! My favorite part of this moving business is decluttering. We have gotten rid of a bunch of stuff we don't use and it's such a refreshing feeling.
Love this photo of my cute mom who took school off to come clean our new home and help me get settled.
And after 3 moves in one summer, we never want to move again. EVER.
